||Thank you for finding
your way to us! Here on our website you can find out all you need to
know about us. But most important of all, you can get a flavour of the
warm welcome you will receive when you step into our Church on a Sunday
Normal weekly Sunday Worship service will resume from Sunday 6th June 2021.
approach us, you have already spotted our spire on Ballards Lane, London
N3. We still look like a Church, with tower and spire, but through the
modern glass doors you can see that we are people of all ages and from
many parts of the world.
We’ve spent our first year in Finchley watching our new garden, to see what might appear.
We’ve been blessed with beautiful roses, fragrant lavender, abundant rhubarb, a glorious flowering cherry tree, a harvest of apples, and plenty of dandelions, groundsel, and other weeds! Alongside this wealth of colour and beauty,
we’ve also found that pests and diseases have attacked our flowers and fruit – even an apple picked from the tree may have a worm lurking inside it.
Sometimes we are thrilled by the variety, colour, and richness of the world, and we are rightly thankful for all that have and enjoy. But sometimes we are acutely conscious of the world’s problems,
and we rightly wonder why dreadful things happen and why people, who are capable of such kindness and creativity, can turn their abilities to harming others.
The Bible doesn’t give us easy answers, but it suggests that human beings and all human institutions are flawed.
The human turn away from God has made us all vulnerable to evil, and so the image of God in us, though not destroyed, has been damaged. God is working to put things right, and God’s intention, for us and for everyone, is life in all its fullness.
This is our Good News, and our hope.
